I have to share this with you…. I have started working recently with a number of bright, creative and highly talented Generation Ys. (defined as currently aged 20-35, or born between 1980 and the end of 1994 ).
They’re in their early – mid 20s. Fabulous, full of opportunity. Embracing technology and many wanting to be entrepreneurs and work their work around their life – and most defintley not the other way around.
Now I’m a business coach, a mum to 2 millenials (born between 1982 and 2004) and bonus mum to another 3 millenials, but I’m most defintley not a psychologist. But I guess as a parent you have to get great at second guessing and asking the right questions.
Every single one of them without exception, clients and kids alike do not like using the telephone! Which don’t you think is weird as they spend their lives surgically attached to their phones. But their phones are not required to :”talk” to people, but they are the communication method of choice. Who has time for tablets or laptops – everything is done on their phone. They can use it – can’t live without it but won’t / can’t talk on it!
I casually mentioned in a business coaching session that in order to conquer and learn to manage their confidence that a hyphnotherapy session could work. I didn’t mention it again – I took the view its not for everyone, and its a private matter, and whilst I thought it would help I’m not their keeper and they needed to do what worked for them.
I can’t begin to tell you the difference in them, the quiet self assured stance. Gone is the fear of talking on the phone. Gone is the quiet and almost timid and apologetic behaviour and say hello to a more confident self assured independent business owner. If that wasn’t enough – their business is booming as well. Is that down to the clarity of business and the business coaching or is it the hypnotherapy? Who knows – who cares? Its working! Personally as the business coach I see many business transformations and breakthrough thinking and business operations, but I have never seen anything like this – so I am fairly and squarely putting it down to the hypnotherapy. So I hear you ask who is it – well I recommend the very talented Tara Guthrie of the Guthrie Practice The Guthrie Practice.
Also years ago I remember an inspirational speaker telling me that she had attended and recommended everyone who had to speak publicly to get some hypnotherapy. She had been a professional dancer, but was scared witless about speaking on stage. I thought it was strange as she had performed in front of hundreds of people every night. When she explained that it was different as you couldn’t see the audience’s faces it all made sense. The last time I saw her speak she spoke and presented with great inspiration in front of 18,000+ people – her story is inspiring.
Now clearly I can’t tell you who my clients are, but you should reach out and talk to Tara. You can get hold of Tara on her mobile 07929 005149.
Don’t say I didn’t tell you – its up to you! 🙂
